• TechCrunch Ever get linked to a YouTube video but don’t know what part your friend wants to show you?  Well now YouTube has enabled “deep linking”, which allows you to link to a specific minute/second moment within a video.
• Boing Boing Some Obama supporters in Pennsylvania have created what looks to be about a 100 ft long portrait of the Illinois senator with paint on an open field.  Pretty cool.
• Digg News Apparently the new MacBooks (with their multi-touch, glass, no button trackpad) are having problems.  Reports say every now and then the pad stops registering clicks for 5-10 seconds.  Ruh-roh.
• TechCrunch The guys at the Crunch have discovered a handy webapp that tells you if your favorite username is taken at various popular websites.  I pretty much have complete domain over “chcameron”.

• YouTube Don’t you hate it when confusing music videos have nothing to do with the song they are set to?  Well that is why Dustfilms has created “Take On Me – Literal Version”.  By changing the words to A-ha’s classic, they make the music video actually make sense.  And also hilarious.  Pipe wrench fight!
• Digg MTV has a survey online which will determine their award for “Best Act Ever”.  It didn’t take long for someone to hack the polling script so that it could vote for Rick Astley over and over and over again.  I believe he now holds somthing like 99% of the vote, but it’s still “too close to call”.
• Sports Illustrated It seems two radio hosts in Minneapolis have called out Magic Johnson for pulling the most awful hoax ever.  Yes, they claimed he faked AIDS.  Unbelievable.  Of course that’s not true, and Magic is just a little upset.
• Digital Photography Blog I get a lot of questions about Photoshop, so I figure this would be a good thing to post.  DPB has posted a rediculous amount of tutorials for Photoshop, so check there for tips on how to do anything, ever.

• Engadget The website USB Geek is selling a product that connects to you computer and lights up whenever you receive an email.  As if a sound notification wasn’t enough, now your room will light up thanks to this geeky invention.
• Gizmodo iPod Touches were apparently built pretty tough.  This one survived being run over by a pickup truck.  Though the screen is cracked, it still functions fully.  Not bad.
• BoingBoing Bill O’Reilly gets into an on-air argument with a fellow Fox News anchor about punishing the websites that published the Sarah Palin emails.  Too bad he forgot about that little thing called the First Ammendment. Oops.
• Digg News Here is a list of 24 words that Webster’s wants to exuviate from the dictionary to make room for thousands of new words.  Seems that these words have a high caducity level.  Indeed, quite fatidical and apodeitic.  Wait, I use these words all the time!  Now I’m embrangled.
• Gizmodo More iPhone stuff, sorry.  Apparently someone has created a set of coasters based on the iPhone home buttons.  $60 is a little steep for them, personally.  More like $16, then I’d consider them.

• Boing Boing Japan has begun installing “anti-suicide barriers” in trainstations.  The walls are designed to keep people from jumping onto the tracks while no train is in the station.  Special doors only open when the trains have completely stopped.  Aparently, suicide via train is the most common choice of suicide in Japan.
• Engadget Some company with no good use of time has come up with “Piano Hands” – gloves with sensors in the finger tips which produce sounds when the fingers are tapped on a flat surface.  Bringing new life to the “dashboard keyboardist”.
• azcentral Some ASU frat boys were arrested for causing an accident on University drive.  How, you ask?  Did they run into traffic?  No.  They were on the Palm Walk footbridge and apparently imbided a little too much milk, and consequently barfed it over the ledge onto traffic.  Simply stunning.
• AP News With Sarah Palin eating up all the limelight, Democrat VP Candidate Joe Biden felt he had to step up to the pressure put on by the silver-tongued hockey mom.  Biden was caught not using his brain when he accidentally claimed that during the 1929 stock market crash democrat FDR “got on the television” and said “look, here’s what happened.”  Only problem is, republican Herbert Hoover was president.  Oh and TV wasn’t around until 1939.  D’oh.
• Digg News World renowned documentarian Ken Burns called Sarah Palin “supremely unqualified”, but I’m sure some one else actually said it while he slowly panned and zoomed on a picture of Palin.
